Classic encounter at Denver Centennial Airport (APA/KAPA) on September 30, 2011

Arriving on Rwy 17L at 1116 am MST.

I have just returned from Denver, Colorado where I attended the Great American Beer Festival (GABF) on Thursday September 29 with long time aviation friends Doug Kerr and Mark Abbott (thanks for sharing your home with us Mark).

No trip to Denver is complete until you make a stop by Denver Centennial Airport as you never know what you might find there and this visit was no different. As we prepared to depart to APA on Friday September 30 we made one last check of flight aware to see if anything of interest was on the move and to our surprise the above aircraft was en route. We made a quick departure and were at APA in less than 20 minutes. We positioned ourselves at a window table in the lovely cafe on the 2nd floor of the terminal, ordered drinks and breakfast and awaited her arrival. At 1115 am MST she came into view and touched down at 1116 am MST.
